I started Hiking Hounds in 2024 with one clear goal: to give local dogs safe, structured walks they genuinely look forward to — and to give owners complete peace of mind. Since starting, I’ve been trusted by 50+ customers to care for and walk their dogs. That trust means a lot to me because people aren’t just booking a service — they’re handing over their keys and their best friend. I focus on reliability, clear communication, and doing whats right by the d every day, so owners always know their dog is in safe hands. Hiking Hounds has grown into a small local team while keeping standards high. I now have 1 employee, 1 subcontractor, and I support the next generation by taking on 2 work experience students from Tameside College. I’m also proud to be part of a wider pet care community. I network across Tameside and into Derbyshire with local walkers, groomers, dog food suppliers and other pet professionals — because when we share knowledge and support each other, the dogs benefit most. My happiest moments are seeing dogs relaxed, confident, and excited for their walks — and hearing from owners that their dog is happier, calmer, and thriving because of the routine and care we provide.
